Benign Mixed Tumors of the Hard Palate Report of Two Cases

Abstract
|

|
Two cases of benign mixed tumor of the hard palate treated surgically at the Severance Hospital are presented.
The first case is a 56 year old female who had a hard nodular mass on the left side of the hard palate bulging into the oral cavity for a period of 3 years. She had a similar mass at the same area of the palate which was removed about 16 years ago.
The second case is a 52 year old female who had also a hard ovoid mass on the left side of the hard palate for 2 months.
They were treated by complete excision and repair of the defect by rotating mucoperiosteal flap. The results of surgery were satisfactory and no evidence of recurrence has yet noticed. Pathology of the tumor and review of the literatures are discussed.
